Jo Douglas
Chief Executive Officer
Jo Douglas is a chartered physiotherapist with many years of senior management experience across the health environment in Suffolk, working in specialist community services until 2011 when she led the musculoskeletal team out of the NHS to form AHP Suffolk CIC as a social enterprise organisation.
Jo has worked with the School for Social Entrepreneurs, running workshops, delivering programmes to prisons and supporting many aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their skills.
Outside of work Jo enjoys spending time with her family, her animals and travelling when she can.
Adam May
Associate Operations Director, Caldicott Guardian & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Adam has been a chartered physiotherapist since 2003 having gained a BSc. (Hons), and latterly an MSc. Physiotherapy. Since qualifying, Adam has worked in the NHS, private sector and within social enterprises holding such roles as clinical specialist physiotherapist, clinical lead physiotherapist and currently as the Associate Operational Director within AHPS.
Adam’s specialist interest now lies in the science of coaching and leadership, ‘helping people to help people’. Outside of work Adam enjoys various forms of exercise, gardening and spending time with his young family.
Joseph Russell
Associate Clinical Director and SIRO
Joe qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015 from the University of East Anglia, Norwich and has worked in musculoskeletal settings since this time. He has an interest in digital healthcare and acts as the digital lead for AHP Suffolk alongside his clinical leadership role. He is a keen promoter of service improvement and data driven change. He continues to hold clinical sessions supporting GPs in West Suffolk.
In his own time, Joe is a keen cyclist who enjoys nothing more than spending time outdoors.
Coral Martin
HR Director
Coral has over 20 years experience working in human resources, previously working in the education sector before joining AHPS. Coral is a member of the CIPD and has a BA (Hons) in HR Management and a Level 7 CIPD Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management. Coral is also a mental health first aider and takes a keen interest in health and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Coral is kept busy with her three daughters and their love of football, and enjoys long walks and days at the beach.
Gary Jennings
Non Executive Director
Gary has been in international healthcare, innovation and the commercial sector for over 35 years, visiting over 50 countries on business. His current portfolio include: Non Executive Director at Kernow Health CIC, Innovation Director to support technology-oriented SMEs, and Regional Director for a Swedish company working to reduce single-use plastics in health, social care and laboratories.
He brings a wide range of experience in developing and implementing strategy, driving innovation, digital health and business development. His favourite biscuit is a chocolate chip cookie and he enjoys living in the peace and quiet of the north Norfolk countryside.
Mel Cassedy
Non Executive Director
Mel joined AHPS in 2023 as a Non-Executive Director. Mel brings a wealth of experience with him from various professional and voluntary roles and is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of Realise Futures. Mel is retired and was, by profession, an accountant having worked for Suffolk County Council for 43 years in corporate finance, social services and adult and community services. He likes to keep fit by going to the gym and playing golf.
Joshua Dye
Head of Support Services
Josh has been with the company for nearly 10 years and in that time has held a variety of roles including Patient Services Coordinator and Patient Services Team Lead. More recently Josh has taken on the remit of Head of Support Services which includes management of both patient services and our estates and facilities department.
Outside of work Joshua is a car enthusiast and enjoys a range of sports and pastimes including cycling, swimming and socialising with friends.
David Lewsey
Director of Finance & Deputy Chief Executive
David has extensive experience in senior healthcare finance roles across private hospitals and fertility services. At AHP Suffolk, he leads the organisation’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, while also overseeing IT, procurement, business development and support services. As Deputy Chief Executive, David works closely with the Chief Executive to support the strategic leadership and continued success of the organisation.
Sophie Gaskin
Executive Assistant
Sophie joined AHP Suffolk in September 2023, having previously had a range of positions in healthcare management and running a successful business. She has a level 4 NVQ in Management & Leadership in Care.
Outside of work she enjoys time with her family and three children, enjoys long walks round the countryside and is a keen baker.
Ciara Kidd
Senior Physiotherapist & Staff Director
Ciara is a Senior Physiotherapist at Hartismere Hospital. She has worked across many sites since starting with AHPs in 2021. Ciara was voted in as Staff Director in 2025, serving on the Company Board. She is also a Mental Health First Aider, providing further support to her colleagues and patients with their mental health and wellbeing.
Matt Peck
Advanced Clinical Lead Physiotherapist
Matt Peck is an Advanced Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, graduating in 2003 from UEA with BSc. Hons Physiotherapy. Later Matt gained a post graduate certificate in Advanced MSK Research & Practice. Matt’s specialisms include tendon pathology, persistent pain and rheumatology.
Matt is also an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Health, University of East Anglia and a member of the East of England NHS Clinical Senate which is an advisory body. Recently Matt had the privilege of becoming an Honorary Visiting Senior Fellow at the University of Suffolk, in recognition of his support setting up the BSc. Hons Physiotherapy course that started in September 2022.
Rosie Brown
Bury St Edmunds Centre Lead Physiotherapist & Staff Director
Rosie Brown is the Centre Lead Physiotherapist working in Bury St Edmunds (Drover’s House and The Self Centre). In her spare time she enjoys baking, walking her dog and cooking for friends and family. Rosie was elected in 2024 as a Staff Director on the Company Board.
Rosie is also a Mental Health First Aider helping colleagues and patients with their mental health.
